Cristmas in Banfield

Like our Christmas tradition, we celebrate Christmas eve at our house, the Frig is pact, and the table is set, we are planning a to dine on the patio, with all the trimmings.  Betty made Vitel Tonnet, Silvia, Colita de Cuadril con Ciduela,
and Pepa her Salpicon de Ave.... These are the such a UMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Oh Vanessa made a ummy Pollo al sal...

after all  we ended up inside because it was to chilly out side and then we waited for the arrival of my buddy,,, PApa NoeL... here are the Kodak moments...

Stefi turns 4...

This last Monday Stefani celebrated her forth birthday at home with just family... was a nice little get together, Vanessa made her pizza, and Sofia decorated the cake...

My mother may she Rest in Peace

I got to spend some time with her before she left this world, she was confused and didn´t know what she was doing or what was left to do...
I sat and watched her fall in and out of sleep and at times thought she had drifted into eternity beyond this life. I´d get close enough to see if she was still breathing, and I was terrified every time...
I still recall when she pulled me close and told me she knew she was dying, and I reassured her not to be affraid... and to walk into the light...

Sofia played dress up

This weekend Sofia found dresses that belonged to Betty and Vanessa and did abit of dress up... she´s eleven and her Grandmother Betty was 21 at the time she wore this dress at Uncle Billies wedding in 1976 and Vanessa wore this red dress at Giselle´s coming out party in 1995... you could say she is going to be a model to say the least...

I paint a new me almost every day

Some days I feel the need to burn the intire picture and start out new, then other days I just want to add a little something and paint over tne booboos... It´s puzzling, everyone has a comment, not generally positive, seems like they all think you should change this or that, frustrating to say the least,
One should say OK. thats interesting and leave it at that... Don´t You think?
How do you paint in qualities you want to share... patience, loyalty, integrity, love, charity to name a few...
Guess life will eventually give the answer, if you look enough...

A room make over for My little Princesses

While on vacation in So. California, got the chance to do a room makeover for my grand daughters Audrey and Chloe, Giselle said painting was off the list but decals were in, So this is how it turned out...

Summers over and Autumns here

There is still a couple of hot days on the calender, but the weather is cooling down, the shubbery is starting to change colors, school is back in session.  Betty and I just got back from our summer vacation to So. California, where we spent a month with Giselle, Levi, and the the grandchildren... So really hard to say good bye for a year... tears and everything.
We did enjoy the stay, the kids are so fun to be with, they really keep you on your toes, and always tons of house work,  Gigi stop sweeping the floors!!! three times a day, that and always having to decide what we are going to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... oh yeah... don´t forget the snacks...
Betty is back to work, came home laughing, co-workers had the office wall pasted with "Missing in Action" posters of her... they really welcomed her back...what a hoot...

as for me... got a list of things I want to do and Betty reminds me continually...

I won the award for best logo for the art school

It´s good to get something in the Mail...

We had a friend that went to October general conference and offered to take a package to mail to Giselle.

After a long wait the US Postman arrived... seconds later every body was eating Shot alfajores, Maroc, and Cabsha, everyone got a new pair of shoes and home made sweaters by Gran Ma Pepa...

Vanessa decided to work an extra day, Sofia is off with Leandro at the beach in Claromeco,
Sebas went to work and we got to take care of Stefi, but we´re having a great day, just messing around on the patio and having a delicious lunch made by chef Betty,  couldn´t be better...

Interesting Finds

Yesterday I went to a local antique shop and found some stuff I really think are pretty cool.

The best find I think are these set of four soldier figurines in metal...
guess the price?

School Picture

Logan started school this year, Giselle says this is definitely been a tring time, every day it´s two major moves getting all the kids in the SUV and getting Logan to school, and then again when she goes to pick him up...

but when you see the school picture.  It´s worth it...

The Aquarium

Recently I started taking a course at a local art school; Simil Vitraux...

I´ve done a lot of projects that I haven´t taken pictures but one is of an Aquarium I made for Sofia my oldest grand daughter... She has it in her room and uses it for her night light since it´s illuminated. It´s my best to date...
